Date: Friday 7th June

Time: 10.15am – 3pm

About the workshop:

Our introduction to printing workshop is the ideal opportunity for those wanting to learn a simple yet very effective print techniques. We will explore screen printing, where we will use the stencil technique to create crisp simple block and silhouette shapes to print on paper and fabric. We will then explore intaglio printing - also known as drypoint printing where we will scratch a design onto tetra pack equivalent material which we will then place through a press to transfer a delicate line print to paper

You will be advised how to turn your ideas, taken from reference photos and sketches, into a stunning design, which will be used when cutting your paper stencils. We will explore how to create designs composed of different colours, how to mix colours and different blending colour combinations. There is a strong emphasis on being creative, explorative and having fun with the process
